Hyderabad: The Chief Minister highlighted the significant role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in establishing democratic governance in India. Nehru’s speech inspired millions to work towards a common goal, and he took concrete actions to build a strong foundation for the nation’s progress.

The CM expressed the aim of making Telangana a world leader. He noted that modern India’s achievements are the result of 79 years of hard work. Telangana’s government, since taking office on December 7, 2023, has restored democracy and is working with the same dedication.

Revanth Reddy stated that the government aligns its policies with the people’s aspirations, prioritizing farmers, women, and youth. The administration has made historic strides to create a socially inclusive Telangana.

The caste census fulfilled a century-old dream for marginalized communities, and SC classification ended a long wait. The government follows a clear, transparent, and inclusive approach to development, setting Telangana as a national role model within just 20 months.

The state initiated “fine rice” distribution from Ugadi, benefiting 3.10 crore people at a cost of Rs 13,000 crore. Additionally, a system called Eagle monitors the state, deterring drug-related activities.

The CM announced that nearly 60,000 jobs have been filled in 20 months. Within 48 hours of taking office, the government provided free transport to women under the Mahalaxmi scheme, saving them Rs 6,790 crore. Achieving over 200 crore zero tickets is another significant accomplishment.

The previous government left a debt of Rs 8,21,652 crore, with Rs 6,71,757 crore in loans and Rs 40,154 crore in employee dues. The current administration has managed to service Rs 2,20,676 crore of this debt, covering both principal and interest.

Despite financial challenges, the state is determined to advance from its current position to the top, drawing inspiration from Gandhiji and Nehru, with strong public support.
