HMAT organizes CME on cancer detection

The Homeopathic Medical Association of Telangana (HMAT) in Hyderabad organised a special event to mark World Cancer Day 2025. The event was a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme focused on identifying cancer in primary care clinics.

Dr. K Gopalakrishna, the president of HMAT, led the meeting and welcomed doctors and medical students. General Secretary Dr. G Durgaprasad Rao spoke about the association’s work, including its medical outpatient department (OPD) and speciality clinic services.

The event’s guest speaker was Prof. Dr. V Ramamohan Reddy, Chief Radiation Oncologist at Omega Hospitals. He gave a talk on the early detection of cancer and the various factors that affect its treatment, management, and prevention. He highlighted that identifying cancer at primary care centres can improve treatment outcomes and, in some cases, even save lives.
