The police chief in Sircilla, Akhil Mahajan, did something special to help 202 home guards and their families. He worked with the Indian Medical Council to get discounts on hospital fees for the guards and their families when they need medical help. The people who run 43 hospitals in the area agreed to give the discounts, which means the guards and their families will pay less for treatment. The guards got new health cards on Monday so they can use the discounts when they need to see a doctor or go to the hospital.
The police chief thanked the doctors and hospital managers for helping the guards and their families. Some other police officers were there when the cards were given out.
