A distressing case of abuse and perseverance has come to light in Hyderabad, where a teenage girl bravely fought for justice against her own father. The father had sexually assaulted her multiple times, but the girl stood firm and ensured he faced the consequences.
The XII Additional Sessions Court in Nampally recently sentenced the 38-year-old man to life imprisonment. The court also ordered that Rs. 5 lakh be awarded as compensation to the 14-year-old survivor, acknowledging the trauma she endured.
In a surprising twist, the girl’s mother claimed that her daughter was lying about the abuse. According to the mother, the girl made these accusations in an attempt to get adopted by her aunt’s family, who had been supporting her throughout the ordeal.
However, the girl and her aunt’s family provided detailed statements and evidence to counter these claims. After reviewing the evidence, the court sided with the girl, ensuring justice was served by punishing the father.
