    The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, CV Anand, addressed over 300 women at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organisation (FICCILO) & Young FICCI Ladies Organisation’s (YFICCILO) Annual General Session and change of guard. Anand encouraged women to claim their due and cited former first lady of the USA, Michelle Obama, who said, “For every door that’s been opened to me, I’ve tried to open my door to others.” He also suggested partnering with rural women entrepreneurs to help them grow. Anand shared examples of successful women in the police force who outperformed men when given the opportunity.

    Guest of honour, Manisha Saboo, President of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association), spoke about the privilege of being born and the alarming number of girls killed in the womb every day. She encouraged attendees to dream big and have a dream that scares them.

    Shubhraa Maheshwari, Chairperson of FLO, highlighted the organization’s efforts to bring value to members through speaker sessions and initiatives such as national Financial Literacy, Digital Literacy, and Education. FLO has impacted 25,000 women across India and generated business for members.

    During the ceremonial change of guard, Ritu Shah succeeded Shubhraa Maheshwari as FLO chairperson, and Arthi Shah succeeded Sonali Modi Saraf as YFLO chairperson for the year 2023-2024. The guests presented medallions to the succeeding chairpersons as a symbol of authority upon their assuming office, and they unveiled the Connect Magazine.
