    Hyderabad: The Food Safety department of Telangana has taken action after receiving complaints about two restaurants in the city. They conducted raids and found several violations according to the Food Safety and Standard (FSS) Act.

    The raids were initiated after complaints were made through the FoSCoS app. The team visited Mehraab restaurant in Rajendranagar, Upperpally, and Indian Darbar restaurant in Narayanguda, Amberpet. They checked the cleanliness of the food and premises at these locations and found violations.

    At Mehraab restaurant, the Food Safety officer discovered several violations under the FSS Act, 2006, and the Rules and Regulations Act, 2011. They announced that a notice would be issued to the restaurant, and further actions would be taken.

    Similarly, at the Indian Darbar restaurant, which is well-known in Hyderabad, the team found violations as per the same FSS regulations during their inspection.

    Previously, the Task Force also inspected eateries in the Begum Bazar area. They visited Bal Kishan Milk Bhandar, Simrats Dhaba, Jodhpur Mithai Ghar, and Shyam Singh Chat Bhandar, where they found various food safety violations.

    So far, many raids have been conducted in Hyderabad at restaurants, hotels, PGs, and supermarkets. These inspections have uncovered numerous issues, including hygiene problems and the use of expired products.
