GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) officials are taking strict action against illegal constructions in Hyderabad. They are demolishing buildings that were built without proper permission.
Recently, GHMC officials demolished a building on Banjara Hills Road No. 11. The builders had permission to construct only a stilt plus two floors. However, they went ahead and built a cellar, ground floor, and six additional floors, violating the rules.
Local residents noticed the illegal construction and complained to GHMC. When no action was taken, they approached the court. Following the court’s orders, GHMC demolished the illegal building on April 25.
In addition to this, a special team named “Hydra” is also working on removing illegal structures in the city. The team has set up a public service every Monday to receive complaints. If a structure is found to be illegal after investigation, it is demolished.
