Hyderabad: The School Education Department of Telangana has suspended a government school teacher for using corporal punishment on students.
According to officials, R. Anand, a physical director at ZPHS Keesara in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, was accused of beating girl students with a stick.
After reports about the incident appeared in local newspapers, the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Education Officer (DEO) decided to take action. Anand has been suspended until the disciplinary investigation is completed.
