The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has introduced a QR code system on hall tickets for Intermediate public examinations, which has shown positive results.
According to S. Krishna Aditya, Secretary of TGBIE, this system has helped students be punctual and avoid confusion about their exam centres. By scanning the QR code with their smartphones, students can easily find their examination centres, check the distance, estimate travel time, and even get real-time traffic updates.
This initiative has been especially useful in cities like Hyderabad, where locating colleges can be difficult. Unlike district and mandal centres, where exam locations are well known, Hyderabad poses navigation challenges for students.
Meanwhile, on Friday, more than 15,000 first-year intermediate students were absent for the English Paper-I exam, which was conducted at 1,532 centres across the state. Out of 5,03,104 registered students, 4,87,317 appeared for the examination.
