The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) Telangana is calling for a boycott of Israeli products in the state. Demonstrations have been held by SIO to raise awareness and encourage consumers to avoid goods from Israel.

Thousands of people in Telangana have signed a pledge to boycott Israeli products. State Secretary Mohd Faraz Ahmed stated that despite a UN resolution for ceasefire, there have been ongoing attacks which reveal Israel’s brutal and arrogant nature. SIO Telangana is urging for the boycott of Israeli products on Yaum al Quds, a day observed on the last Friday of Ramzan, as these products support the genocide in Gaza.

The boycott is a response to Israeli atrocities in Gaza, with SIO Telangana condemning Israel’s violations of international law and showing solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In addition, the boycott serves as an economic way to put pressure on Israel and its policies. SIO Telangana is calling on all citizens of Telangana to participate in the boycott and stand in solidarity with Palestine, according to Mohd Faraz Ahmed.
