To ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations during the upcoming Ganesh and Milad festivals, Hyderabad’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. CV Anand, conducted a detailed review of the arrangements in the Central and South Zones.
The review began with Mr. Anand offering prayers at the famous Khairtabad Ganesh idol. He asked the committee members to follow the successful schedule from last year. He stressed that all preparations should be completed by 6:30 AM so that the 70-foot idol can be transported and immersed in Husseinsagar Lake by 1:30 PM. The organizers promised to stick to this timeline, which would help speed up the immersion process.
Mr. Anand also spoke with officers about law and order, traffic management, and security in the Central Zone. He discussed the need for a 40-hour security arrangement as the festivals approach.
Later, Mr. Anand visited the South Zone DCP office, where he had in-depth discussions with officers from different departments, including law and order, traffic, task force, and the special branch. They reviewed last year’s events and discussed improvements for this year’s Ganesh procession and Milad celebrations. Officers were encouraged to share suggestions, and a final plan was created to ensure better management.
Mr. Anand praised the officers for their hard work. He reminded them to maintain high standards of service and to consider the unique social and economic factors in the old city while managing crowds and ensuring timely events during the celebrations.
With excitement building for the festivals, the police department is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone attending.
