    Hyderabad: Arrests Made for Defamatory Social Media Posts Against Minister Seethakka

    The Hyderabad cyber crime police have arrested two individuals for posting offensive comments online. These comments were aimed at tarnishing the dignity and reputation of Seethakka, the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, RWS, and Women and Child Welfare.

    The arrested individuals were identified as Thodupunori Vijay Bhanu Prasad and Gade Prakash. A case was registered against them under Section 67 of the IT Act, along with other sections, including 79, 192, and 352 of the BNS.

    According to the police, the incident came to light in August 2024. The accused had posted derogatory remarks against Minister Seethakka on social media. These posts had the potential to create societal unrest and disrupt law and order.

    After thorough investigations, the cyber crime police were able to track down the accused. They were presented before the court in Nampally, Hyderabad, where they were subsequently remanded.
