Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRA) Commissioner, AV Ranganath, launched a new website on Thursday called HRCSIndia.com. This website is designed to make real estate dealings in Hyderabad more transparent and legally clear.
Created by HRCS India, a RERA-certified organisation, the platform offers free, verified information related to property laws and home loans. It helps buyers and sellers check if a property falls within Full Tank Level (FTL) or lake buffer zones—areas that may have restrictions on construction.
During the launch, Commissioner Ranganath said that HYDRA will play a key role in supporting environmentally friendly urban development. He mentioned that the agency was formed to protect important public areas like lakes, parks, drainage systems, and government lands from illegal encroachment.
Ranganath stressed the importance of verifying property documents before buying. He warned that some people are illegally changing survey numbers and building houses on government land using fake layout permissions. Buyers must be extra cautious to avoid such fraud.
HYDRA is also helping the public better understand lake boundaries and terms like FTL and buffer zones. Soon, detailed maps showing lake boundaries and government lands will be available to everyone through the HYDRA platform.
In addition, the Commissioner announced plans to beautify and develop six lakes in the city. These projects are expected to be completed by the upcoming monsoon season. He said that such efforts, along with better drainage, will help reduce urban flooding.
Speaking about the current state of the real estate market, Ranganath noted that around 3,00,000 unsold flats and houses are already built in Hyderabad. However, he mentioned that signs of a recovery are starting to show.
He concluded by saying that a transparent and honest real estate market benefits everyone. Referring to a similar market slowdown in 2008, he said that if properties are priced affordably, the industry will recover.
