The Telangana government, led by chief minister Revanth Reddy, has issued orders to cancel deputations in the health department. Employees who were deployed on a duty/work order basis must return to their original place of posting by 5 pm on 08.02.2024.

Furthermore, all the Heads of Departments (HODs) under the administrative control of the HM&FW Department must provide a list of employees whose duty/work orders have been cancelled as of 08.02.2024. They must also confirm that there are no employees currently working on a work order basis in their departments as of the same date.

Going forward, HODs are instructed to only issue deputations on a need basis, with the written approval of the respective District Collectors. This measure is aimed at streamlining the deployment process and ensuring proper oversight and control over deputations within the department.
