India has summoned the Canadian High Commissioner in New Delhi over propaganda material in Canada. This material includes posters that contain threats to Indian diplomats. India has also formally protested to Justin Trudeau’s government. On Monday, India expressed concerns about the threats to its diplomats through these posters. The posters provide information about a pro-Khalistan rally scheduled for July 8. They specifically target the Indian ambassador to Canada and the Consulate General in Toronto. Sikh extremists are believed to be responsible for circulating the posters. They accuse the Indian ambassador and the Consulate General of involvement in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June.
