Hyderabad: The Telangana State Government has taken quick steps to stay prepared following India’s military strike on Pakistan, which came as a response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
To handle any emergency, the government has put all departments on high alert. Employees working in essential and emergency services are not allowed to take leave. All foreign trips planned by ministers and top officials have also been canceled. Everyone has been instructed to remain in the city and be ready to respond.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a strong warning to government staff. He said strict action would be taken against anyone making controversial remarks in the media or on social platforms.
To help citizens during this tense period, the government will launch a 24/7 toll-free helpline. People can use it to report any problems related to security or law and order.
All departments have been told to work together closely. The main goal is to prevent any shortage of essential goods and ensure that the supply chain runs smoothly across the state.
The Chief Minister personally checked in with officials to ensure preparations were in place. He emphasized that people must not face any inconvenience, especially when it comes to daily necessities.
On Wednesday evening, CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka reviewed the state’s security measures. They held a high-level meeting with top police and intelligence officials. Extra security will now be in place at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and in areas popular with foreign tourists.
State intelligence teams have been asked to coordinate closely with central intelligence agencies. A special information center will be set up at the Command Control Centre to monitor all security developments in real-time.
In a show of support for the Indian Army, the Chief Minister and Deputy CM also planned a massive rally. The event will start at 6 PM on Thursday, moving from the Secretariat to Necklace Road. They invited the youth of Telangana to join the rally and stand united with the armed forces.
With these steps, the Telangana government aims to maintain peace, protect public safety, and support national defense efforts during this critical time.
