India has proposed to launch a G20 Satellite Mission for Environment and Climate Observation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested this at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi. The mission aims to assist countries in the global south. World leaders like US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak were present during Modi’s announcement. The Prime Minister compared the mission to India’s successful Chandrayaan moon mission, stating that it would benefit all of humanity. The data collected from the mission will be shared with all countries, especially those in the Global South. India is inviting all G20 countries to join this initiative.
