Indian Navy hosts Navy Band Concert during Navy Week 2023

A Navy Band Concert took place at Navy House in Secunderabad on December 12th and 13th as part of Navy Week 2023 celebrations. The concert was organized by the Eastern Naval Command and hosted by Rear Admiral Ravnish Seth. The chief guest for the event was Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. The venue was decorated with banners and standees showcasing the Indian Navy’s operations. Navy Day, celebrated on December 4th, commemorates the Indian Navy’s success in the Indo-Pak Conflict of 1971.
The Band Concert featured a variety of music performed by the Naval Symphonic Band, including martial tunes, retro Hollywood and Bollywood themes, Carnatic fusion, and patriotic tunes. The event was attended by serving officers from all three services, defense establishment and DRDO laboratory heads, veteran officers, government officials, and industry representatives. Additionally, a special performance by the Naval Symphonic Band will be held at Dr BR Ambedkar Statue at Hussain Sagar Lake on December 14th for the general public.
