    Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Thiruvananthapuram on April 25 to announce the departure of Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express Train. At a public gathering held at Central Stadium, Modi discussed the importance of a strong central government in promoting national development. He claimed that a powerful central government could work with state governments to promote economic growth and social advancement.

    Modi emphasized the idea of “Ek Bharat” or “one nation,” stating that nation-building infrastructure would benefit all people, regardless of their economic situation, religion, caste, community, or area. He praised Kerala’s population for its worldwide connectivity, food, literacy rate, climate, and natural beauty, stating that if the state developed to its full potential, it would become a beacon for the entire nation.

    Modi also unveiled the Kochi Water Metro and several railway expansion projects, as well as laying the cornerstone for the Digital Science Park. He claimed that the Centre had made significant investments in creating reliable and futuristic digital and physical connectivity.

    Modi concluded his speech by highlighting the recent G-20 gathering on the banks of the Kumarakam backwaters, which had given Kerala worldwide attention. Overall, Modi’s visit emphasized the importance of a strong central government in promoting national development and working with state governments to improve economic growth and social advancement.
