India’s Chandrayaan-3 success could give a boost to the country’s economy. It is expected that India’s space economy will be worth $13 billion by 2025. Space efforts have already benefited the world in many ways, such as providing clean drinking water and internet access. The space economy is growing rapidly, with reports showing that private equity has invested over $272 billion into space companies since 2013. The global space economy has reached a value of $546 billion in the second quarter of 2023, a 91% increase over the past decade. Participating in the space economy can have significant benefits for countries and inspire their citizens. Lessons learned from the failure of Chandrayaan-2 contributed to the success of Chandrayaan-3, according to former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. The scientists at ISRO did a wonderful job despite the challenges they faced with the mission.
