Industrialist’s grandson arrested for murder case

The Punjagutta police in Hyderabad have arrested Keerthi Teja for allegedly murdering his grandfather, Velamati Chandrasekhar Janardhan Rao, over a property dispute. Janardhan Rao was an 86-year-old industrialist and the owner of Veljan Group of Companies.

According to the police, the incident took place at Janardhan Rao’s residence on Thursday night. Keerthi Teja allegedly stabbed his grandfather 73 times after they had a heated argument about property matters.

ACP Punjagutta, S Mohan Kumar, stated that the police have collected biological samples from Keerthi Teja and sent them to a forensic science laboratory. They are awaiting reports to determine whether he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime.
