    The state government has announced the formation of judicial commissions to investigate alleged multi-crore scams in the construction of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) and Yadadri and Bhadradri thermal power projects. The commissions have 100 days to submit their reports.

    Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose will investigate the alleged misuse of funds in the Kaleshwaram LI scheme, while Justice L Narasimha Reddy will look into the construction of the thermal power projects. These projects were built at a cost of over Rs 2 lakh crore by the previous government. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made this announcement during a Cabinet meeting in Hyderabad.

    The judicial commission on thermal power projects will also examine the MoU between the previous government and the Chhattisgarh government for power purchase. The government has information about funds meant for power purchase being diverted to middlemen. Information and Public Relations Minister P Srinivas Reddy stated that the white paper on Irrigation and Energy sectors has already been released, and the judicial commissions will reveal more details of corruption by the previous government.

    In addition, the Cabinet decided to establish 16 corporations for different castes, including Reddy and Vysya corporations, and issue new white ration cards. The goal of these caste-based corporations is to empower backward communities socially, politically, and economically. Corporations for SC and ST sub-castes will also be formed to ensure deserving individuals benefit from these schemes. New white ration cards will be distributed to eligible families soon, with a review of white ration cards and Aarogyasri cards also planned.

    IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu announced that land allocation for women’s Self Help Groups at the Outer Ring Road (ORR) has been approved to facilitate marketing and promotion of their products internationally. The Cabinet also agreed to provide jobs to 2008 DSC qualified individuals, allot 3,500 Indiramma houses per Assembly constituency, and revive the state Housing Corporation. BC Welfare Minister P Prabhakar assured that Rythu Bandhu benefits would be disbursed within two days, with 84% of farmers already receiving farm input assistance.
