The INTACH Foundation organized the Heritage Quiz 2025, a unique event in India aimed at uncovering rural students’ talents and promoting cultural awareness.
Dr. Nagender Swamy, Convenor of INTACH Mahabubnagar chapter, noted that the quiz spanned 17 mandals over the past month. “We covered all mandals in three days. About 400 teams with 800 students from 104 government schools participated. The enthusiastic response highlights rural students’ eagerness to demonstrate their knowledge,” he stated.
The competition included several rounds. Winners from each mandal moved on to the district level. On Saturday, the district finale tested students through both written and oral rounds, assessing their knowledge and quick thinking.
Winners received prizes and certificates, earning praise from teachers, parents, and local leaders. The event was lauded for fostering academic excellence and cultural awareness among government school students.
The winning team from Jadcherla will now represent Mahabubnagar district at the state-level Heritage Quiz in Hyderabad next month. This achievement brings pride to their school and district.
