Asifabad: Senior journalist Masade Lakshmi Narayana from Jendaguda, in Kumrambheem Asifabad district, received the Telangana Gaddar Film Award.
Recently, at a ceremony in Hyderabad's Hitex, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka accepted the jury award from Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy.
Narayana, the eldest child of Masade Bapu and Lakshmi, has been a journalist in Hyderabad for over 20 years. He began as a reporter for Andhra Bhoomi and later worked with Zee News in both Hyderabad and Delhi. Starting as a reporter, he advanced to input editor, covering areas like crime, politics, and cinema.
He has held the position of General Secretary at the Film Critics Association and was the founding president of the Telangana Film Journalists Association. Additionally, he was elected as a director of The Journalist Cooperative Housing Society, established in 1960 to support Hyderabad journalists.
During his speech, Lakshmi Narayana expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, and 2024 Jury Chairman Jayasudha for the honor.
