The Minister for BC Welfare, Gangula Kamalakar, has instructed District Collectors to prepare for the upcoming Samkshema Dinotsvam on June 9, which is part of the State Formation Day celebrations. During a video conference with the collectors, the Minister and Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari provided instructions on identifying artisans who will receive a grant of one lakh rupees without bank linkage. At least 50 units must be established on that day. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the programme at Mancherial where he will personally hand out cheques to the artisans. The State government has created this scheme to uplift the artisans and provide them with an economic model for development. However, the collectors were warned to be vigilant and not allow any misuse of the scheme. The beneficiaries will be identified, and cheques will be distributed by the concerned MLAs on the 15th of every month.
