Hanumakonda: Former Deputy Chief Minister and local MLA Kadiyam Srihari has promised major development for the Station Ghanpur constituency. He aims to bring in modern facilities that will make residents proud of their hometown.
On Monday, Srihari visited the area to check the progress of two key projects — a 100-bed hospital and Banjara Bhavan. He also laid foundation stones for these developments during his visit.
While speaking at the event, he criticized his political rivals. “They couldn’t even get 8 paise approved, let alone ₹800 crore,” he said. “Now that the hospital and Divisional Office Complex are coming up, perhaps they’ll wake up to reality.”
Srihari shared updates on several projects:
– ₹77 crore has been assigned to improve roads connecting tribal hamlets. Already, about 38 kilometers of bitumen (BT) roads have been completed across 20 hamlets.
– ₹2 crore is being spent on the construction of Banjara Bhavan, which will benefit the 17,000 tribal residents in the area.
– A grant of ₹1.6 lakh was approved for newly formed Gram Panchayats and eight tribal hamlets.
– A new ST hostel, built at a cost of ₹63 lakh, is now finished and will be opened soon.
Srihari also directed officials to submit plans for additional work at Banjara Bhavan, including land leveling and building a dining hall.
He stressed his dedication to the progress of tribal communities. Srihari added that a proposal worth ₹70 crore is being prepared to upgrade the Station Ghanpur Municipality. He assured that work will begin as soon as approvals come through.
“No matter how many false accusations are thrown at me, I won’t stop,” he said. “My only goal is to develop this constituency and give the people reasons to feel proud.”
