Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha voiced concerns on Friday about the Congress government’s neglect of freedom fighter Dasarathi, an important figure from Telangana. Kavitha criticized the government for lacking insight and expressed disappointment over its leadership in the region.
After visiting Killa Ramalayam, where Dasarathi was once held, Kavitha spoke to reporters. She mentioned her repeated requests to the government to hold events for Dasarathi’s 100th birth anniversary, emphasizing the need to educate future generations about his legacy. However, she noted that the government had not taken any significant steps.
Kavitha highlighted that July 22 marks Dasarathi’s centenary. She urged that celebrations should begin immediately and continue until his birth date, capturing Dasarathi’s spirit. Jagruti plans to wait until early July to see if the government announces any initiatives for the centenary.
