Hyderabad/Mancherial: Following her intense media interaction, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated on Friday that she wrote a letter to improve her party. She claimed she was targeted within the BRS, and the letter got leaked, preventing her from meeting party president K Chandrashekar Rao.
During a conversation with journalists in Mancherial, Kavitha confirmed writing the letter. She expressed frustration over recent events in the party, prompting her to address issues for the party’s benefit. “I voiced the concerns of regular party members to KCR. I’ve dedicated myself to the party’s growth, enduring challenges over the past decade. Despite this, some developments troubled me. They considered an alliance with the BJP, which jailed me. I felt uneasy about plans to merge with BJP while I was imprisoned,” Kavitha explained.
She emphasized that no party remains intact after joining forces with the BJP, advising against the alliance. “I communicated my stance through a letter to the party president and attempted to discuss it with him.”
Kavitha mentioned she couldn’t meet her father due to the letter’s leak. “I’ve written letters before, but this one was leaked. The party should identify the source. I have no hidden motives and won’t let BRS merge with BJP.”
Her letter caused significant unrest within the BRS, and her Friday comments added to the tension.
Kavitha criticized the BJP’s actions under “Operation Kagaar,” citing the denial of final rites for Maoist Secretary Nambala Keshava Rao after an encounter. “The BJP lacks the decency to return bodies to families for last rites. Despite calls to halt Operation Kagaar, killings persist,” Kavitha condemned.
She also accused the Congress of disrespecting Dalit leaders. Kavitha mentioned MP Vamshi not being invited to Saraswati Pushkaralu and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka being insulted at Yadagirigutta Temple. She argued that both Congress and BJP undermine the nation’s social fabric.
