Hyderabad: On Friday, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed that the family of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is embroiled in financial disputes, and the BRS party is nearing its downfall.
At a press briefing held at Gandhi Bhavan, Goud described the BRS as a “sinking ship.” He suggested that if BRS aligns with the BJP, which holds only eight seats, it too will diminish to just eight seats.
The issuance of notices by the Justice PC Ghose Commission to KCR and BJP MP Eatala Rajendar rekindled their old ties, Goud mentioned. He noted that Rajendar met with BRS leader Harish Rao at a farmhouse in Shamirpet and spoke with KCR prior to appearing before the Commission.
Comments from BRS leader Kavitha and Raja Singh revealed a clandestine agreement between BJP and BRS, according to the Congress leader. He questioned whether Kishan Reddy has the courage to address Kavitha and Raja Singh’s statements. Goud criticized the BJP’s accusations against Rahul Gandhi, emphasizing that when Rahul supports soldiers, BJP’s attacks show their low-level tactics. He recalled that numerous surgical strikes occurred during Indira Gandhi's leadership, and accused the BJP of using military secrets for political purposes.
Goud argued that the BJP’s focus on criticizing Rahul Gandhi instead of addressing Raja Singh’s serious issues is a sign of their weakness. He highlighted the contrast between wars under Indira Gandhi and Modi, noting that 90,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered during Indira’s tenure.
