Fifteen KhadimulHujjaj (Haj volunteers) have been selected for Haj-2023 by Telangana State Haj Committee. The committee received 165 applications but only 111 were found eligible. The selection was made based on certain criteria such as being a government servant, having performed Haj, and being under 50 years of age. The selection was made through a draw held under the 1:300 ratio, which means one KhadimulHujjaj will be selected for every 300 pilgrims.
The selected volunteers are Omer Farooq, Abdul Muqtadir Siddiqui, Sadiq, Mohammad Abdul Jaleel, Waheed Ahmad Khan, Mustafa, Younus Ali Quadri, Mohammed Ayub Khan, Tabrez, Mohammed Hajimulla Sharif, Mohammed Jameel Ahmed, Shaik Moin Ahmed, Abdul Musavver, Khaja Moinuddin, and Burhan. These volunteers come from various departments such as police, education, and health.
The KhadimulHujjaj play an important role in helping and guiding the pilgrims during their Haj journey. They assist them in various tasks such as transportation, accommodation, and medical aid. The selected volunteers will undergo training before they embark on their journey to Saudi Arabia.
