Hyderabad: On Sunday, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy visited Shaikpet in the Jubilee Hills area. He laid the foundation for a new community hall in Maruti Nagar to boost local infrastructure.
The new community hall aims to provide a space for events and welfare activities, especially helping one of the city’s less developed neighborhoods.
During his visit, Kishan Reddy met with residents from nearby slums. He instructed officials to quickly address their concerns, including issues with sanitation, housing, and access to essential services. He stressed that Hyderabad’s growth should be fair and inclusive, focusing on slum development.
Kishan Reddy highlighted the developmental challenges in Hyderabad, particularly in slum areas. He criticized the state government for not providing enough funds for the city’s development. He pointed out that financial limitations are hindering basic services, like the installation of street lights.
He urged the state government to understand Hyderabad’s crucial role in boosting Telangana’s economy. He emphasized that the state’s prosperity is tied to its capital’s success, noting that Hyderabad significantly contributes to state revenue and deserves better infrastructure and services.
