Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G Kishan Reddy raised the party flag at the BJP State office on the party’s foundation day. This special occasion also coincided with Sri Rama Navami.
The BJP was established on April 6, 1980, with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as its first president. At the time, many doubted the party’s ability to grow, but it has since built a strong identity. The BJP focuses on uplifting the country, supporting the poor and weaker sections, improving India’s global image, and making India a developed nation.
Kishan Reddy remembered that DSP Reddy from Rayalaseema was the first BJP president in the United Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned the contributions of leaders like PV Chalapathi Rao, Bangaru Laxman, V Rama Rao, and Chilakam Ramachandra Reddy. Other important leaders include Venkaiah Naidu, Dattatreya, Indrasena Reddy, Dr K Laxman, and Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Many party workers have sacrificed their lives in struggles against Naxalites and Pakistan’s ISI.
In Hyderabad, BJP activists such as Nandaraj Goud, Devender, Balaraju Yadav, Papayya Goud, Krishnavardhan Reddy, and Chandra Reddy also gave their lives supporting the party’s values and fighting Naxalism. Kishan Reddy paid tribute to all these martyrs.
He said the BJP stands for moral values and high standards. In the past, only the Nehru family was seen as capable of leading the country. But now, the BJP has shown that even a regular party worker can lead the nation.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government has ruled longer than any other since Jawaharlal Nehru. Modi’s leadership has helped all parts of the country grow. The BJP is also known for providing clean and effective governance. Kishan Reddy said that after 45 years, the BJP is finally gaining strong support in Telangana.
He criticized the TDP, Congress, and BRS for failing to meet the expectations of the people in Telangana. He said the Congress, which is currently in power, has not solved the legal and social issues people face. Because of this, more people are supporting the BJP. He encouraged party members to continue fighting against the Congress government’s anti-people policies and unfulfilled promises.
Kishan Reddy also accused the BRS and Congress of working together to help the Majlis party win in Hyderabad local elections. He asked BJP members to expose these political deals and make the public aware of them.
He urged party workers to celebrate BJP Foundation Day until April 14 and also take part in the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He added that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary should be celebrated on a grand scale from April 14 to April 22.
