Konda Surekha, a prominent politician from Warangal, has become a Minister in the newly formed Telangana government. She was administered the oath of office by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. Surekha’s political journey began in 1995 when she was elected as the President of Mandal Parishad. She has since held various positions, including MLA for Shayampet and winning the Parkal Assembly seat in 2009. In 2011, she resigned from Congress but later rejoined in 2018. She secured a resounding victory in the 2023 Assembly elections and is now serving as Minister. Throughout her career, Surekha has served in various capacities, from MPP to MLA and Minister.
