The condition of Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy is stable after a life-saving surgery performed by a team of doctors from Yashoda Hospital. The surgery lasted for three hours and now the MP will be observed for the next four days.

During Prabhakar Reddy’s campaign in Gajwel, he was stabbed with a knife. However, the green channel provided for his shifting helped the doctors prevent any further danger. A team of 10 doctors at the hospital treated him, with primary treatment and stitches performed by the doctors in the Gajwel hospital.

After a CT scan, it was revealed that Prabhakar Reddy had a perforated bowel. An Emergency Exploratory Laparotomy was immediately carried out due to the seriousness of the situation. Initially, a laparoscopic approach was attempted, but evidence of bowel perforation in four places led to an Open Laparotomy. A bowel resection was performed successfully along with an end-to-end intestinal anastomosis.
