Kothakota Seetha Dayakar Reddy has officially taken charge as the new Chairperson of the Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR). After her appointment, she met with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy as a courtesy.
Alongside her appointment, the state government has also added six new members to the commission. These changes aim to strengthen the commission’s role in protecting children’s rights throughout Telangana.
Seetha Dayakar Reddy previously served as an MLA for Devarakadra in 2009. She joined the Congress party in 2023. Her experience in politics and administration is expected to help the commission work more effectively.
The TSCPCR is responsible for looking after the well-being and rights of children in the state. It works with local authorities and organizations to raise awareness and solve problems related to child protection. Programs like Bal-Adalat and partnerships with child-focused groups are part of its efforts.
With the new team in place, the commission is expected to expand its work and make sure every child in Telangana gets the care and protection they deserve.
