Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, a leader from the BRS, criticized the government on Thursday, accusing them of betraying the hopes of young people. He alleged that Group-I posts were being sold and called for a judicial investigation into these irregularities and a re-examination of the process.
He urged for an Assembly session to discuss the Congress party‘s promise to create 2 lakh jobs annually. Rama Rao expressed strong disapproval of the ministers and the Chief Minister’s Office, pointing out accusations from students about large sums of money being demanded for securing jobs.
Rama Rao accused the state government of “auctioning jobs,” crushing the dreams of many aspirants who dedicated years preparing for exams, investing their time and their families’ resources.
He demanded an immediate government response to serious allegations made by Group-I candidates in the media, claiming that crores of rupees were exchanged for posts.
Referring to the High Court’s earlier directions, Rama Rao insisted on a transparent re-conduct of the Group-I preliminary exam, ensuring no irregularities. He called for a judicial commission to investigate the alleged malpractice and expose those responsible for selling government jobs. He also called for a special Assembly session to scrutinize the Group-I scam and hold the Congress government accountable. Rama Rao emphasized that only a full judicial inquiry and a transparent re-exam could ensure justice for unemployed youth and prevent future scandals.
