KTR asks OpenAI to set up an office in Hyderabad

KTR, the working president of BRS, expressed enthusiasm over Sam Altman’s plan to establish a new office in India. He extended an invitation to OpenAI’s CEO to consider opening an office in Hyderabad, emphasizing the city’s vibrant tech environment.

Hyderabad is home to major tech companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple, and Qualcomm. This showcases the city’s robust technological landscape.

KTR highlighted efforts by successive governments aimed at transforming Hyderabad into India’s AI capital. He noted that these initiatives have paved the way for the city to become a leader in artificial intelligence.

On LinkedIn, KTR stated, “Welcome to India, Sam Altman! Hyderabad serves as the perfect entry point to India and an ideal base for OpenAI. This city boasts the country’s most dynamic innovation hubs like THub, WEHub, TWorks, Telangana State Innovation Cell, and the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad.”

He further emphasized, “Hyderabad is favored by global tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple, and Qualcomm. It has a rich pool of tech and startup talent. The government has taken significant steps to position Telangana as the AI capital of India, even declaring 2020 as the ‘Year of AI’ and launching multiple AI-driven projects. Hyderabad effectively combines talent, innovation, and global connectivity to drive the AI revolution.”
