KT Rama Rao, the BRS Working President, accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of causing Telangana’s economic struggles. He blamed Reddy’s lack of experience and poor governance for the state’s low Goods and Services Tax (GST) growth rate.

Rao criticized the current government for damaging Telangana’s economy. He highlighted that the state was at the bottom of the GST growth list in September 2025, marking a significant decline. He pointed out that two years ago, under BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana led the country in GST growth, showing strong economic health.

Rao mentioned that during the previous BRS administration, the government supported various sectors, boosting the economy. He expressed disappointment that now, under Congress, sectors like agriculture and IT are struggling, even during festivals. He described the current situation as a mix of chaos, corruption, and inexperience. Rao urged the Congress government to take action to prevent further economic damage.
