BRS working president KT Rama Rao has accused the BJP government of trying to sell the Adilabad Cement Corporation of India (CCI) as scrap. He claimed that the government invited online tenders for this purpose.
Rama Rao strongly opposed this decision and called it an “evil move” by the Centre. He warned that if the Union government does not withdraw its decision, the BRS will launch a major protest along with CCI staff.
He also alleged that the BJP had misled the people of Telangana by promising to revive CCI during the Lok Sabha elections. However, instead of fulfilling its promise, the Centre is now selling CCI equipment worth crores of rupees as scrap. He said this proves once again that the BJP cannot be trusted.
