Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has expressed serious concerns about the actions of the Congress-led government in Telangana. On Friday, he urged Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to ensure that Telangana does not turn into another “Bulldozer Raj” under Congress rule.

Rama Rao accused the Congress government in Telangana of violating the law by demolishing the homes of poor families without following legal procedures. He criticized the government for rendering people homeless, calling the actions unfair and unjust.

KTR reminded Kharge of his previous statements in which he condemned similar demolitions in other states, describing them as inhumane. KTR questioned whether Kharge supports the current actions of the Telangana Congress government, where similar injustices are now happening.

In a recent tweet, KTR highlighted a specific incident in Mahbubnagar town where 75 houses belonging to poor families were demolished at 3 am without any prior notice. He pointed out that among these families, 25 included people who were physically disabled. KTR emphasized that enforcing the law without due process is not just law but a modern-day civilisational abomination.

Rao further questioned the Congress leadership on how they could justify demolishing the homes of families who have lived there for 20 to 40 years without any warning. He urged Kharge to advise the Congress government in Telangana to prevent the state from becoming another Bulldozer Raj.
