Hyderabad: Today, Lakhotia College of Design hosted an inspiring event named “Trashique – The Best Out of Waste” at their Banjara Hills campus on Road No. 10. This event highlighted the fusion of sustainability and creativity in the fashion industry.
“Trashique” is a blend of “Trash” and “Chic,” symbolizing the transformation of waste into stylish and functional art. Students showcased a remarkable fashion show featuring clothing and accessories made entirely from recycled materials like fabric scraps, plastic bottles, and newspapers. This collection demonstrated that being eco-friendly doesn’t mean sacrificing style.
Mohammed Affan Mujahid, Managing Director of Lakhotia College of Design, addressed the audience, emphasizing that “Trashique” is more than just an event; it’s a mindset shift. It challenges us to see waste as potential art. Every piece on the runway shared a strong message: waste holds value.
