Lawyer dies in High Court hall

Hyderabad: On Thursday at about 2:20 pm, advocate Parsa Anantha Nageswar Rao (47) died from a heart attack at the Telangana High Court.

Nageswar Rao suddenly fell while sitting near Court Hall No. 21. People nearby attempted CPR to help him. He was then taken to Osmania General Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

Nageswar Rao began practicing as an advocate in 2006. He served in the High Court and other subordinate courts in Telangana. He also spent 18 months as a Government Pleader for revenue during the BRS Government period at the High Court.

The Telangana High Court Advocates Association (THCAA), along with senior advocates and staff, mourned his death. THCAA President Anumula Jagan shared condolences with Nageswar Rao’s family. He announced plans to request the High Court Chief Justice to provide emergency contact numbers, including the High Court dispensary, ambulance, and medical volunteers’ numbers.

Jagan also suggested CPR training for advocates and staff to assist during emergencies.

Previously, on February 18, 2025, senior advocate Pusunooru Venugopal Rao suffered a fatal heart attack while presenting a case at the Telangana High Court.
