The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and the Communist Party of India (CPI) held a protest in Gadwal, demanding changes to the recently presented Union Budget. The protest took place at YSR Chowrasta near the old bus stand. It was led by CPI(M) district secretary A. Venkataswamy and CPI district committee member Ashanna.

During the protest, the leaders accused the central government of favoring big corporations while ignoring the needs of ordinary people. They pointed out that corporate tax rates were reduced from 22% to 15%, but essential goods used by poor and middle-class families were still heavily taxed.

The leaders also claimed that the government was neglecting farmers and workers, who they believe are the real wealth creators. Instead of supporting them, the government was giving tax benefits to large companies.

The protesting leaders promised that their parties would continue to fight until the budget is changed to benefit common people.
