Telangana assembly elections, scheduled for later this year, have caused a rift between Chief Minister KCR and the communist parties. KCR has not given any seats to the communists, leading them to consider aligning with the Congress party. CPI Narayana met with Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal to discuss alliances and seat allocation. The talks were deemed successful, and Congress leaders will soon meet with CPM national leaders.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that the Congress party is considering allocating one seat to both CPI and CPM parties. However, the communists are requesting three seats each, while a compromise of two seats each may be reached in the end.
