The Madhapur police in Hyderabad arrested a person on Sunday for possessing ganja. The police found 20 kgs of the contraband with him. The person, Javeed Babu, is an auto driver from Palghar district in Maharashtra. He had traveled to Kakinada district in Andhra Pradesh where he bought the ganja from a person named Tejas.
Javeed was transporting the ganja to Maharashtra on a train. However, when he saw the railway police checking the coaches, he got off at Hi-tech City railway station. He was waiting outside the station with the contraband when the police received information and caught him. Javeed had intended to sell the ganja in his hometown and make money from it. The police have registered a case against him under the NDPS Act and he will be produced before the court.
