A man from Uttar Pradesh was arrested in Nemmikal village, located in Athmakur (S) mandal, Suryapet district, on Friday. He was caught trying to trick a homeowner by offering to sell gold at a very low price.
The homeowner became suspicious of the offer and quickly informed the police. When the police investigated, they found that the gold was fake.
The man was taken into custody and brought to the police station for further questioning. During the investigation, both the local villagers and authorities confirmed that the gold was not real.
