Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife, and over 80 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party have been put on a no-fly list by Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior. The ministry has taken swift action to ensure that the names of these individuals are provided to all airports and exit points across the country, and the authorities have been directed to strictly enforce the ban and prevent any listed individuals from traveling abroad with immediate effect. The names on the no-fly list include prominent PTI figures such as Qasim Suri, Asad Umar, and Fawad Chaudhary.

Imran Khan is on bail till June 2 in three terrorism cases filed against him after violent protests erupted following his arrest on May 9 in a corruption case by paramilitary Rangers from the Islamabad High Court. The crisis unfolded in Pakistan after Khan’s arrest, which triggered unrest across the country, including protesters storming the army headquarters in Rawalpindi and torching a corps commander’s house in Lahore.
