The Managing Director of HMWSSB, Sudarshan Reddy, visited Manikonda and Shaikpet tanker filling stations for inspection. They asked about tanker booking, delivery schedules, and checked the in and out log books and CCTV cameras.
In March 2024, HMWSSB supplied 69 thousand tankers of water. On March 1, they received 4,588 tanker bookings. By the end of March, this number is expected to reach 6,280, indicating an increase in trips supplied.
To meet the demand for water during the summer, HMWSSB has increased the number of tankers and drivers, implemented three shifts, appointed special officers for night supervision, and added more filling stations and water points.
Last year in March, 79 thousand tankers were booked. This year, there were a total of 119 thousand bookings.
