The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Bhadrachalam is planning to set up mini libraries in 34 post-metric hostels across Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts. These hostels house thousands of students pursuing various courses like Degree, ITI, Polytechnic, PG, Pharmacy, GNM, BSc Nursing, and Engineering. The new libraries aim to help students better prepare for competitive exams.

This decision, made by ITDA Project Officer B. Rahul, has been well-received by the student community. Many believe that the libraries will give them access to important resources, helping them improve their knowledge and become more aware of job opportunities.

Currently, 5,070 students live in hostels across the joint Khammam district. The ITDA spends more than 5 crore rupees annually on maintaining these hostels. Despite this, there has been little attention given to providing library resources for the students.

The students believe that having access to books related to their studies and competitive exams will help them succeed. Many students feel that this move is especially important because more than 3,000 unemployed youths register for jobs with the employment exchange every year. Having a library could increase their chances of finding employment.

He emphasized that the goal is to give every tribal student the resources they need to improve their knowledge and succeed in their careers.
