Nagarkurnool (Kollapur): To help people learn more about great social reformers, Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Excise, Jupally Krishna Rao, announced new funding for villages. He said that each village will receive Rs 1 lakh to improve libraries and another Rs 1 lakh to build better sports facilities. This money will come from the Minister’s constituency development fund.

The new libraries will have books about famous leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Savitribai Phule. The goal is to make their ideas and achievements easily available to everyone in the villages.

The Minister said, “Paying true tribute to Ambedkar means not just remembering him, but following his path through action and awareness.” Earlier in the day, he paid floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar at different locations, including Kollapur town, Jataprolu village in Pentlavelli mandal, and Chinna Dagad in Chinnambavi mandal, as part of Ambedkar’s birth anniversary celebrations.
